SiteSala Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date:
Upon publication
Last updated:
3 November 2026

1. About this Policy

We want customers to understand their cancellation and refund options before purchasing a SiteSala website.

This Policy applies to website packages and managed hosting purchased through SiteSala, operated by Maldicore Group Pvt Ltd, registration C-0282/2009, Maldives.

It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Nothing in this Policy removes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

2. Website package cancellation before work begins

If you voluntarily cancel your website order before either of the following events has occurred, you may receive a refund of 50% of the initial website package price:

  1. You submit your completed business questionnaire; or
  2. SiteSala begins website production.

The first of these events to occur closes the standard early-cancellation refund window.

The remaining 50% is retained under the agreed cancellation arrangement to account for order administration, onboarding, agent coordination, reserved production capacity and other preparation associated with the service.

This deduction remains subject to applicable consumer law, including any requirement that cancellation charges be fair, reasonable or proportionate.

Standard early-cancellation amounts

PackagePackage price50% refund
SiteSala OneUSD 299USD 149.50
SiteSala BusinessUSD 499USD 249.50
SiteSala AdvancedUSD 799USD 399.50

These figures apply to the standard website package price, excluding separately agreed services or charges.

3. Cancellation after the early-cancellation window

Once you have submitted the completed questionnaire or SiteSala has begun production, whichever occurs first, the website package is ordinarily non-refundable for voluntary cancellation.

This is because the service is customized for your business and production resources may already have been committed.

Changing your mind, choosing another provider or deciding not to proceed does not automatically create a refund entitlement after that milestone.

However, this provision does not override applicable legal rights or remedies where SiteSala fails to perform its obligations, materially misrepresents the service or otherwise breaches applicable law.

4. If SiteSala cannot deliver the agreed service

If SiteSala is unable to deliver a material part of the agreed service, we will review the circumstances and the remedies available.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, these may include:

  • Completing or correcting the agreed work
  • Providing a reasonable opportunity to remedy a service failure
  • Agreeing on an alternative arrangement
  • Providing a partial or full refund where appropriate or legally required

We will not apply the voluntary-cancellation rule to deny a remedy that the law requires for SiteSala's own failure to perform.

5. Customer delays and missing information

Website production depends on timely and accurate customer information.

If you do not complete the questionnaire, provide required materials, respond to clarification requests or supply necessary access, we may pause the project.

A customer-caused delay does not automatically create a refund entitlement.

If an order remains inactive for an extended period, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and explain the available options before closing or terminating it.

Any cancellation or refund will be assessed under the relevant project stage, these policies and applicable law.

6. Agent issues and reassignment

If you experience a problem with your assigned SiteSala agent, please contact SiteSala directly.

We may review the circumstances and assign another approved agent where appropriate.

If the agent has not begun meaningful questionnaire guidance within three calendar days after verified payment, SiteSala may arrange reassignment.

You may request a different agent before the questionnaire guidance session begins.

An agent's unavailability or reassignment does not automatically cancel your website order.

However, if an agent-related problem materially prevents SiteSala from providing the agreed service, we will consider the appropriate remedy in light of the circumstances and applicable law.

You do not need an agent's permission to raise a complaint or request cancellation directly with SiteSala.

7. How cancellation requests are assessed

When you request cancellation, we may review:

  • Your order and payment records
  • The date and time your questionnaire was submitted
  • Whether website production had begun
  • Relevant agent and customer communications
  • The reason for cancellation
  • Any applicable legal obligations

We may share relevant information with the assigned agent or other authorized personnel where reasonably necessary to verify the facts or resolve a dispute.

We will not disclose unnecessary financial credentials or unrelated private information.

The customer may ask SiteSala to explain the basis for a cancellation decision.

8. Hosting renewals

Each website package includes six months of managed hosting.

After the included period, hosting is available at:

  • USD 12 per month
  • USD 120 per year

Hosting renewal is manual, not automatic.

We will not charge you for a new hosting period without a separate payment or valid authorization.

If you choose not to renew, no new hosting fee is due simply because the previous hosting period has expired.

We may suspend or discontinue hosting after the paid period ends, subject to reasonable notice, applicable law and our exit arrangements.

9. Cancellation of prepaid hosting

You may ask SiteSala to stop hosting your website or decline to renew at any time.

For a hosting period already purchased and activated, unused time is not ordinarily refundable merely because you choose to stop using the service early.

If you have prepaid multiple future hosting periods, we will review whether any periods have not yet commenced and whether a refund, credit or other adjustment is appropriate under the agreed purchase terms and applicable law.

If SiteSala cannot provide prepaid hosting as agreed, we will provide any remedy required by applicable law, which may include a refund for services not provided.

Any special prepaid hosting terms must be clearly disclosed before purchase.

10. Domain registration and third-party charges

Domain names are purchased and renewed separately by customers through their chosen registrar.

SiteSala does not ordinarily collect or refund those domain registration fees.

Refunds for third-party services purchased directly from another provider are governed by that provider's terms and applicable law.

If SiteSala separately arranges a third-party purchase on your behalf, the applicable price, conditions and refund limitations must be disclosed before the purchase is authorized.

11. Refund payment method and timing

Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned through the original payment method where technically and legally possible.

If that is unavailable, we may agree with you on another lawful refund method.

Refund processing times depend on the payment provider, financial institutions, verification requirements and any applicable legal deadlines.

We will communicate the refund decision and available processing information without promising a timeframe we cannot reliably control.

Any deductions or non-refundable charges must be consistent with the original agreement and applicable law.

12. Leaving SiteSala

If your website service ends, you may request available website exports, including static HTML and customer-collected data in CSV format.

Static HTML exports do not include SiteSala's proprietary backend source code, hosted content management platform or dynamic server-side functions.

Website data will ordinarily remain available for up to two months after termination to support reasonable export or recovery requests, unless legal, security or operational requirements justify a different period.

We recommend requesting exports before your hosting service ends.

13. How to request cancellation or a refund

Email hello@sitesala.com with:

  • Your name and business name
  • Your order reference, if available
  • The website package or hosting service concerned
  • A brief explanation of your request

You may contact SiteSala directly, even if your order was introduced by an agent.

We may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify the order and process the request securely.

14. Complaints and review

If you disagree with a refund or cancellation decision, you may request a review by contacting hello@sitesala.com.

We will consider the relevant facts, the service agreement, project records and applicable law.

This internal review process does not restrict any statutory right to seek assistance from an appropriate authority or court.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy for future purchases or to reflect changes in law or service arrangements.

The version applicable when an order was accepted will ordinarily govern that order, subject to lawful amendments and mandatory legal requirements.
