4. Working with SiteSala agents
SiteSala uses approved independent agents to introduce customers and guide them through the initial website process.
This means certain information must move between the customer, the assigned agent and SiteSala.
Information an assigned agent may receive
Depending on their role and the stage of your project, an agent may receive:
- Your name, business name and contact details
- Country and preferred language
- Package selection
- Project status and next steps
- Relevant questionnaire information
- Requests for clarification
- Confirmation that payment has been verified
- Information needed to assist with a customer concern, cancellation or handover
Agents receive information for authorized SiteSala purposes, not for unrestricted personal or commercial use.
When an issue or conflict arises
If there is a disagreement, complaint, cancellation, duplicate-lead concern, commission dispute or agent reassignment, SiteSala may review and share relevant records with the people reasonably involved.
Such records may include:
- Lead registration and assignment history

We aim to disclose only what is necessary to investigate and resolve the issue fairly.
An agent does not automatically receive complete payment records, confidential financial credentials, unrelated customer communications or access to other customers' information.
Agent responsibilities
Approved agents are expected to protect information received through SiteSala, use it only for authorized work, avoid unnecessary copies and report suspected unauthorized access or disclosure.
Where appropriate, these responsibilities will be reinforced through separate agent agreements and access controls.
5. Other parties we share information with
We may share relevant information with service providers that help us operate SiteSala, including providers of:
- Website hosting and infrastructure
- Databases and application services

- Security, backup and technical support
- Accounting, professional advice and legal services
These providers may process information only as needed for the relevant services, subject to applicable contractual, security and legal requirements.

We do not sell customer personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
6. International data processing
SiteSala serves customers and works with agents in different countries.
Our infrastructure, technical providers, payment providers and approved agents may operate outside the Maldives.
As a result, information may be accessed, transferred, stored or processed internationally when reasonably necessary for the service.
We will use appropriate contractual, organizational and technical safeguards where required by applicable law.
International processing does not give an agent or provider unrestricted permission to use your information for unrelated purposes.
7. Customer websites and form submissions
Some SiteSala packages include website contact, enquiry or request forms.
A customer's website may collect information from that customer's own visitors.
The customer is responsible for deciding what information to request, ensuring that the collection is lawful, providing any required privacy notices and handling information received for their own business purposes.
SiteSala provides the agreed technical hosting and form-delivery services.
We may access website form data when reasonably necessary for support, security, delivery, troubleshooting, lawful requests or an authorized customer instruction.
We do not claim ownership of the personal information collected by a customer's website visitors.
Customers should not use standard SiteSala forms to collect highly sensitive information unless SiteSala has expressly confirmed that the service is suitable and appropriate safeguards are in place.
8. Payment information
Payments may be handled by independent payment service providers.
SiteSala may receive payment references, transaction amounts, status confirmations and information necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, refunds or commission verification.
We do not require customers to give payment card passwords, bank login credentials or cryptocurrency wallet recovery phrases to SiteSala agents.
Payment providers may have their own privacy policies governing the information they process.
9. Email communications
We may send emails relating to:
- Enquiries and form submissions
- Agent applications and assignments
- Orders and payments
- Website production and handover
- Hosting reminders and service notices
- Complaints, cancellations and support
We may use a transactional email provider to deliver these messages.
Operational emails are distinct from optional marketing communications. Where consent is required for marketing, we will request it separately and provide an appropriate way to stop receiving those messages.
10. Cookies and analytics
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies necessary for essential functions, security and service operation.
If we introduce optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies, we will update our disclosures and obtain consent where required.
We will not describe optional tracking as essential merely to avoid providing a choice.
11. How long we keep information
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or for applicable legal obligations.
Different information may have different retention periods.
For example:
- Active customer and agent records may be retained while the relationship continues.
- Payment, accounting and contractual records may be retained for legally required periods.
- Complaint and dispute records may be retained as reasonably necessary to establish and protect legal rights.
- Security logs may be retained for an appropriate operational period.
- Website data following termination is ordinarily retained for up to two months to support reasonable export or recovery requests, unless earlier deletion is required or longer retention is legally justified.
The two-month website exit period does not necessarily apply to every business, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal record.
We will securely delete or anonymize information when there is no longer a legitimate reason to retain it.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.
Depending on the system, these may include access restrictions, authentication, secure connections, backups, monitoring and role-based permissions.
No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.
If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will assess the incident, take appropriate protective action and provide notifications where required by law.

14. Children
SiteSala's purchasing and agent services are intended for adults aged 18 or older.
We do not knowingly invite children to register as customers or agents.
If we discover that personal information has been collected from a child in circumstances that require deletion or another response, we will take appropriate action.
15. Third-party websites
Our website or customer websites may link to external websites and services.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third parties. We encourage you to review their policies before providing personal information.
16. Changes to this Policy
